About Chopta - Tungnath

Chopta to Tungnath is a 3.5 km trek in Uttarakhand leading to the world's highest Shiva temple, perched at 12,000 ft amidst the Garhwal Himalayas. The trip also covers the Sangam of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda at Devprayag, a summit push to Chandrashila peak for panoramic Himalayan views, and a scenic halt at the pristine Deoria Tal lake before heading back home - making it one of the most rewarding short treks near Delhi.

Itinerary

Day 0 Departure to Chopta +

Departure in the evening to Chopta.
Assemble at the pick-up point.
Introduced to the team captain and the group.
Halt for dinner (not included).

Day 1 Chopta Exploration Dinner +

Morning arrival at Devprayag and breakfast.
Sightseeing at the Sangam of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda.
Journey to Chopta via Dhari Devi Temple.
Arrival at Chopta, check-in to the scenic camp-site.
Sightseeing in nature with the group. Back to the camp for dinner.

Day 2 Tungnath & Chandrashila Breakfast & Dinner +

Early start for the day with sunrise.
After breakfast, departure for Tungnath.
Begin the trek to Tungnath - the world's highest Shiva temple.
Arrival at Tungnath & pay your respect to Lord Shiva.
Journey to Chandrashila Peak begins (if the weather permits).
Back to the camp & dinner.

Day 3 Deoria Tal Trek & Departure Breakfast +

Breakfast, check out and departure for Sari village (base point for the Deoria Tal trek).
Reach Deoria Tal and enjoy the picturesque views.
Trek to Sari village.
Evening departure from Deoria Tal, overnight journey back to Delhi.

Day 4 Reach Delhi +

Reach back to Delhi / Chandigarh during the early morning.
Trip concludes with beautiful Himalayan memories.

Booking Process

Kindly deposit ₹3,000/- per person advance amount to confirm the seat.
Remaining amount shall be deposited within 24 hrs before the boarding.
By depositing the advance amount you are accepting the T&C.
UPI transfers accepted via Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay & BHIM.

Terms & Conditions

The advance amount is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Full payment of the trip cost must be made before the trip begins. Pending payments may eventually lead to cancellation of the trip.
IDs will be verified before boarding. No boarding shall be entertained without a valid Govt. ID.
Transfer of bookings is not permitted. Only the names mentioned at the time of confirmation shall be allowed to travel.
No refunds shall be made towards any inclusion(s) not availed by the client.
Travelers must take care of their luggage & belongings. Management shall not be accountable for missing items along the tour.
The time of departure is stated & fixed. All travelers must report at the pickup point 30 mins prior to the scheduled departure.
The air conditioning will be switched off in the hills; it is the driver's discretion to put off the AC as required, considering travelers' safety along uneven & dangerous routes.
Trekking inherently involves risks, including but not limited to injury, altitude sickness, and adverse weather conditions. By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree to follow staff guidance at all times.
We reserve the right to make last-minute changes to the trek route, accommodation, or itinerary due to weather, local regulations, or unforeseen circumstances, ensuring any changes are of similar quality.
Drinking & smoking are strictly prohibited during the journey for the health & safety of fellow passengers.
No act of misconduct or indiscipline shall be tolerated on the tours.
Byko Journeys shall not be responsible for delays or alterations caused by natural hazards, accidents, breakdown of machinery, weather conditions, landslides, political closure, or any untoward incidents.
We do not provide any insurance policy to cover expenditure on sickness, accidents, or losses incurred due to theft or other reasons.
We may transfer your booking to another like-minded travel company where necessary, ensuring similar services and experiences.
