Kashmir, often called "Paradise on Earth", is a land of snow-capped mountains, pristine lakes and lush valleys tucked away in the Himalayas. This backpacking trip takes you through Srinagar's iconic Dal Lake, the meadows of Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers), the glacier views of Sonmarg and the "Valley of Shepherds" - Pahalgam, also known as Mini Switzerland. From cable car rides and pony treks to a night on a traditional houseboat and a peaceful Shikara ride at sunset, this trip is packed with everything that makes Kashmir unforgettable.

Itinerary

Day 0 Delhi to Jammu +

We start our journey to this magnificent place called "Kashmir" from Delhi.
Departure at around 9:00 PM.
Early morning arrival in Jammu.

Day 1 Jammu to Srinagar +

Arrive in Jammu and proceed to Srinagar, a 7-8 hour journey.
Check in at the hotel later in the day.
Day free for rest.

Day 2 Srinagar to Gulmarg +

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to the enchanting valleys of Gulmarg, also known as the "Meadow of Flowers".
Enjoy stunning views of Nanga Parbat en route, and panoramic views of Gulmarg from Tangmarg.
Optional Gondola cable car ride on reaching Gulmarg (cost not included).
Drive back to Srinagar for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 Srinagar to Sonmarg +

After breakfast, drive to Sonmarg through scenic paddy fields with rivers flowing alongside.
Sonmarg is the starting point of several Himalayan treks; optionally hire a pony ride up to the glaciers.
Enjoy views around the glacier, then drive back to Srinagar by evening.
Dinner and overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 4 Srinagar to Pahalgam +

After breakfast, journey from Srinagar to Pahalgam, the "Valley of Shepherds", also known as Mini Switzerland.
Visit Aru Valley, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari.
Check in to the hotel, followed by dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 Pahalgam to Srinagar +

After breakfast, check out from Pahalgam and head to Srinagar for local sightseeing.
Visit the majestic Mughal Gardens including Shalimar Bagh and the Shankaracharya Temple, perched at a height of 1000 feet overlooking the city.
Check in at a traditional Houseboat and enjoy a Shikara ride in the evening.
Dinner and overnight stay on the Houseboat.

Day 6 Departure +

For Srinagar guests: cabs will be arranged for drop at the Srinagar airport.
After breakfast, transfer by tempo traveler to the sleeper bus at Jammu in the evening.
Overnight drive from Jammu to Delhi, arriving next morning by 11:00 AM.

Any cost arising due to natural calamities like landslides, roadblocks etc. (to be borne directly by the customer on the spot)

Important Notes

Travelers residing outside Delhi are suggested to book trains/flights reaching Delhi not later than 5 PM on the trip start day.
Similarly, on the trip end date, book returning flights/trains leaving post 2 PM.
Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, physical abilities of participants, etc. may cause itinerary changes.
We reserve the rights to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort & general wellbeing.
The age limit of our group departures is 16 - 42 years due to the power-packed itineraries that we provide to our travelers.
We can customize trips for travelers beyond the mentioned age bracket.

Booking Process

Booking will be confirmed after paying an advance booking amount of ₹5,000/-.
The remaining amount will be paid 5 days prior to the departure date.
You will be added to the WhatsApp group 1 week prior to the departure.
Boarding details will be shared with you 1-2 days prior to the boarding date.
