About Jaisalmer - Longewala

Jaisalmer, the Golden City of Rajasthan, sits on the edge of the Thar Desert and is known for its honey-hued sandstone fort, ornate havelis, and the shimmering Sam Sand Dunes just outside the city. This trip takes you through camel and jeep safaris in the desert, a stay under the stars in Swiss camps, a visit to the historic Longewala war memorial from the 1971 India-Pakistan war, the revered Tanot Mata Mandir, and a city tour covering Jaisalmer Fort, Gadisar Lake, Patwon ki Haveli and the abandoned village of Kuldhara - a perfect blend of history, culture and desert adventure.

Day 1 Departure to Jaisalmer +
  • Departure in AC deluxe vehicle.
  • Overnight journey to Jaisalmer.
  • Halt for dinner (not included).
Day 2 Jaisalmer Arrival | Sam Sand Dunes Dinner +
  • Reach Jaisalmer by noon.
  • Check-in to Swiss camps at Sam Sand Dunes. Freshen up and take some rest.
  • Enjoy the evening around the beautiful desert with a sunset camel safari.
  • Post this, enjoy the traditional Rajasthani musical program with a dance around the bonfire and light snacks.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in camps.
Day 3 Sam to Longewala Battlefield Sightseeing Breakfast & Dinner +
  • Wake up early, bed tea served, then proceed for a jeep safari to experience a beautiful sunrise at the Thar Desert.
  • Breakfast at the resort.
  • Leave for sightseeing at the Longewala war memorial, famous for the battle between India and Pakistan in 1971.
  • Visit the Tanot Mata Mandir.
  • Evening return to the resort.
  • Enjoy the traditional Rajasthani musical program with bonfire dance, light snacks and a DJ party at the resort.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in camps.
Day 4 Jaisalmer City Tour & Departure Breakfast +
  • Wake up early, freshen up and have breakfast.
  • Leave for the Jaisalmer city tour, on the way visiting Kuldhara, the haunted village.
  • Visit Gadisar Lake, Jaisalmer Fort and Patwon ki Haveli, and enjoy an evening at the Jaisalmer flea market for shopping and local cuisine.
  • Depart for Delhi/Gurugram in the evening.
  • Overnight journey back.
Day 5 Reach Gurugram +
  • Reach back to Gurugram during the early morning.
  • Trip concludes with beautiful desert memories.
