About Spiti Valley

Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley located high in the Himalayas in the northeastern part of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The name "Spiti" means "The middle land", i.e. the land between Tibet and India. It is bound to leave you in awe of the mountains. This cold desert has tons of features to show for itself; from high mountain passes, to unbelievable monasteries, astonishing culture, architecture and much more. It is a rugged high altitude land where the air is much drier than other high altitude places, temperatures drop below zero at night but still remains the land to enchant you and makes for a hell of a trip for all.

Itinerary

Day 0 Delhi to Shimla +

We start our journey to this magnificent place called "Spiti" from Delhi.
Departure at around 9:00 PM.
Early morning arrival in Shimla.

Day 1 Shimla to Sangla / Chitkul +

Early morning arrival in Shimla.
After freshening up and a good breakfast, a long 8-9 hour drive through the majestic mountains awaits.
Experience entering the Kinnaur Valley from the Kinnaur Gateway.
Reach Sangla by evening, check in to the hotel, have dinner and rest.

Day 2 Chitkul to Tabo/Nako via Gue +

Early call by the trip captain, followed by breakfast and mesmerizing mountain views along the riverside.
Depart towards Tabo, with a halt at Khab Sangam - the confluence of the Spiti river and the Sutlej river.
Reach Nako, visit Nako Lake and have lunch.
Visit the Gue Mummy Temple and Gue Monastery, home to the 600-year-old mummy.
Reach Tabo and enjoy a homestay experience with local food.

Day 3 Tabo to Kaza via Dhankar +

Wake up early and visit the Tabo caves for meditation.
Breakfast, followed by a visit to the oldest monastery of Spiti Valley - Tabo Monastery.
Depart for Kaza, visiting Dhankar Monastery en route.
Reach Kaza by evening, check in to a homestay, enjoy local food and stargazing.

Day 4 Kaza - Langza - Hikkim - Komic - Key Monastery +

Visit Langza, home to the popular 35-feet Buddha statue at an altitude of 4400 meters.
Visit Komic - the highest village connected with a motorable road.
Visit Hikkim, home to the highest post office in the world.
Visit Key Monastery.
At night, enjoy stargazing and witness the Milky Way galaxy.
Stay in a cozy homestay and enjoy the local food.

Day 5 Kaza to Chandratal via Chicham Bridge - Kunzum Pass +

Have breakfast and check out; depart for Chandratal.
On the way, visit Chicham Bridge and Kunzum Pass.
Upon arrival at the designated campsites, check in and head towards Chandratal Lake for leisure time by the lakeside.
Dinner in the evening followed by an overnight stay at the campsites.

Day 6 Chandratal to Manali via Koksar & Atal Tunnel +

After early morning breakfast, check out of the campsites and start the return journey to Manali.
Upon arrival in Manali, visit Koksar and Atal Tunnel.
Dinner and overnight stay in Manali.

Day 7 Manali Local Sightseeing | Departure to Delhi +

After early morning breakfast, check out and explore some Manali local markets.
In the evening, board the bus for an overnight drive to Delhi.

Important Notes

Travelers residing outside Delhi are suggested to book trains/flights reaching Delhi not later than 5 PM on the trip start day.
Similarly, on the trip end date, book returning flights/trains leaving post 2 PM.
Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, physical abilities of participants, etc. may cause itinerary changes.
We reserve the rights to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort & general wellbeing.
The age limit of our group departures is 16 - 42 years due to the power-packed itineraries that we provide to our travelers.
We can customize trips for travelers beyond the mentioned age bracket.

Booking Process

Booking will be confirmed after paying an advance booking amount of ₹5,000/-.
The remaining amount will be paid 5 days prior to the departure date.
You will be added to the WhatsApp group 1 week prior to the departure.
Boarding details will be shared with you 1-2 days prior to the boarding date.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation 30 days before the trip date: 100% booking voucher will be generated within 24 hours.
Cancellation 20 days before the trip date: 50% booking voucher will be generated within 24 hours.
