About Spiti Valley

Spiti, the "Middle Land" between India and Tibet, is a cold desert of stark mountains, turquoise lakes and centuries-old Buddhist monasteries clinging to cliffs. This circuit takes you through Kinnaur's apple orchards and Kinner Kailash views, the ancient mud-brick village of Nako, ochre monasteries at Tabo and Dhankar, the highest post office at Hikkim, Key Monastery perched above the Spiti river, and the crescent-shaped Chandratal Lake before crossing back over the Rohtang range to Manali. A raw, high-altitude adventure unlike anywhere else in India.
